(1903-1973) Irish stage, film and television actor. Born in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Ireland as [[Max Bor]] (sometimes credited as [[Max Cavendish]]). Began his stage career in Northhampton Weekly Rep, later worked for the [[Old Vic Company]], [[The Royal Shakespeare Company]] and the [[National Theatre]]. Starred in [[Penny Plain]] with [[Joyce Grenfell]] on an international tour and in the late 1960s, and later toured as [[George Bernard Shaw]] in the one-man presentation ''[[By George]]''.  This was brought to South Africa in 1971 by [[Hymie Udwin]]’s [[Academy Theatre Productions]], in collaboration with [[PACT]] and [[Langford-Inglis]]. Starred in Penny Plain with Joyce Grenfell on an international tour and in the late 1960s, and later toured as George Bernard Shaw in the one-man presentation By George. This was brought to South Africa in 1971 by Hymie Udwin’s Academy Theatre Productions, in collaboration with PACT and Langford-Inglis. Had a distinguished career in film and TV as well.
