Maureen McAllister (19**-). Actress.

Biography

Maureen is known to her friends as Mo or Mo-Jo. She moved from Durban to Johannesburg with a Louis Burke-Joan Brickhill production of Oklahoma! and decided to stay. Shortly afterwards she joined PACT.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

While in Durban she was in the cast of I Remember Mama directed by Dennis Henshaw, probably in the early 1960s.

Maureen had roles in PACT productions of The Caucasian Chalk Circle (1965), The Beaux' Stratagem (1966), The Devils (1966), The Imaginary Invalid (1967), Heartbreak House (1967), Mourning Becomes Electra (1967), The Mask and the Face (1967), A Phoenix too Frequent (December 1968), King John (1970).
