Mark Fleishman (19**-) Actor, director, academic and lecturer at the University of Cape Town.
Not to be confused with the British actor Mark Fleischmann.

Biography
He is married to Jennie Reznek.
Training
In 1991 he completed a master’s degree in Drama at UCT.
Career
As an actor he has worked for PACT and for the Market Theatre company.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Roles in Flight, Liefdeskringloop, The Taming of the Shrew, Curse of the Starving Class.
He co-wrote and was assistant director of Thina Bantu - We People. He also co-wrote Keep Moving Ma-Jack with Clare Stopford.
In 1994 he adapted and directed Moby Dick for performance at the Market Theatre Laager, which was sortly followed by CAPAB’s critically acclaimed production of The Visit.
He directed Die Vreemdeling, Battle of the Black and the Dogs, Medea, Voices Made Night, 53 Degrees, Personal Column, Every Year, Every Day, I Am Walking, I Turned Away And She Was Gone.
He wrote or co-wrote Sunrise City, I Do x 22, and created the dance theatre production The Sun, the Moon and the Knife, The City of Paradise.
