Marc Hosten (19**-2011) was an actor, playwright, lecturer and copy-writer.

Biography

He died of cancer on 23 September 2011.

Training

He studied drama at the University of the Orange Free State .


Career

In 1988 he joined the Vega School of Brand Communications in Cape Town as lecturer and copy writer.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He established himself as playwright at the ATKV Kampustoneel festival.

He wrote Iris-Beheer, Koebaai Ntate, Luc, Galgstories and Other Noose Tales, Om 'n Jakkalsbessie, Die Basics Van Lepel L.

Awards, etc

Om 'n Jakkalsbessie was the Free State regional winner of the 1991 SACPAC Award.
