Malan Steyn (197*-) is an Afrikaans playwright, scriptwriter and lecturer. *

Studied drama and Afrikaans literature at the University of Stellenbosch, where he did a B.A. Honours course in playwriting.



Author of Die Kaal Generaals (“The naked generals” - 199*), Outopsie (2001), **, Roadkill/Padkos (1999-2000), ***(2002), Eet Alles (“Eat everything” - 2004) and ***. Co-author of Rooikôppetjie (with Saartjie Botha, Francois Toerien and Nicole Holm) MALAN, Steyn, Bok-bok staan styf, KKNK, 2002., STEYN, Malan , Roadkill/Padkos, 2002, Bok-bok staan styf met Elizabeth de Villiers & Abduragman Adams, 2002. KKNK.. Die Joseph en Mary Affair (& Ilse Oppelt), Woordfees, 2003 & Vleis, Rys, en Aartappels, 2008), , Eet Alles (Aardklop, 2004), *. Chief writer for the TV series Binnelanders. In 2009 became a lecturer in Drama at Stellenbosch, teaching playwriting.
