Lourens was born in Durban.

Training

Career

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

In 1961-2 he performed in Xander Haagen’s Aandster Ver and in Opsitkers en Vonkelwyn. He had a role in Spel. In 1964 he appeared in Twaalfde Nag as the priest.

On television he appeared in Die Nagloper (credited as Lou Odendaal, 1976) and had a role in Elmo de Witt's film Iemand Soos Jy (1978).
