Literary Entertainments
A series of educational readings offered in the Commercial Exchange, Cape Town by Mr T.P. Hill in 1846, and again in 1849-50, . His programmes, billed as Mr Hill's Literary Entertainment(and also referred to as "Novel Literary Entertainments" in the advertising), included many reading from Shakespeare, Dickens, Sheridan, Knowles, and other writers of poetry and prose.
