Recognized as one of South Africa’s leading theatrical designers, she designed over 50 repertoire productions for South Africa’s foremost opera, ballet and musical theatre companies,  including [[Richard Loring Productions]]. Lindy moved to the United States with her husband Tom Grindlay in 2002. She has become an award winning event décor designer in the Washington DC area. In addition, she has maintained ties with South African theatre, designing for [[Black Tie Ensemble]], coordinating costumes for ''[[Hairspray]]'', associate designer for ''[[Saturday Night Fever]]'' and costume designer for ''[[African Footprint]]''.
