Career
Lindsay worked as an actor and director at the Market Theatre. He was the director of the Centre of Creative Acting in Hillbrow.
He worked briefly for The Space in Cape Town in the early 1970s.
He formed part of Mannie Manim and Barney Simon’s The Company around 1974.
Lindsay later settled in Grahamstown, working at the Rhodes University Drama Department.

For The Space he performed in Tooth of Crime (staged at the Beattie Theatre) and directed L’amante Anglaise.

Lindsay has appeared in Richard III, Investigation into the Death of a Greek, Alice’s Adventures Underground, A Macbeth, Enemy!, The Trial, Murder Among Friends (for Pieter Toerien 1977), The Grand Ceremonial, Miss Julie and in The Persecution of Oedipus Rex.
He starred in Barney Simon’s production of Chekhov’s The Seagull at Upstairs at the Market in June 1976..
