("Love, Anna") Text by Schalk Schoombie, based on research by LieSl Marx. A play based on the life of actress Anna Neethling-Pohl, the play is set at the end of her life, and uses flashbacks to focus on highlights in her life. The play also notes her right-wing Afrikaner sympathies, as well as her fondness for men and "manly pursuits" such as rugby. The play was produced by GZ Productions and LieSl Marx Produksies, directed by Louis van Niekerk, with Sandra Prinsloo, Deon Lotz and Gustav Gerdener. It premiered at the Aardklop festival in 2012, later performed at the Woordfees in Stellenbosch and the KKNK in 2013.
