SANDS, Leslie (1921 – 2001) was a British actor and writer of TV and film. Born in Bradford, Yorkshire, Sands usually specialized in dour types in authority, often policemen. He also wrote a number of plays, including: Intent to Murder; Something to Hide; Basinful Of The Briny; Beside The Seaside; Cat's Cradle; Checkmate; For Pete's Sake; Good Old Summertime; Investigation.
