First performance
According to a published text by Marchant, 1842[1] and a manuscript in the Bibliothèque du Théâtre in Geneva[2], a play by this name, credited to Varin et d'Avrecourt (with music by an anonymous composer), wqas foirst performed in the Théâtre du Palais-Royal,Paris, on 9 November 1842, and subsequently done in Genève on 12 December,1843.
