("The assignation, or the assumed love") A one act French comedy in verse by Barthélemy-Christophe Fagan, (also known as "Fagan de Lugny", 1702-1755), first performed in Paris, Théâtre-Français, 27 May 1733. It was freely adapted into German by August von Kotzebue as Der Mann von Vierzig Jahren , the name under which it is best known, and was performed in South Africa in Dutch ( as De Man van Veertig Jaren)
