Le Chapeau d'un Horloger ("The hat of a watchmaker") is a one act comedy by Delphine de Girardin (1804–1855)[1].


Published in Paris in 1854.


Translated into Dutch as De Hoed van den Horlogemaker (The hat of the watchmaker") for the use of the Rederijkers by Leonard and published in Amsterdam in 1875.

Performance history in South Africa

1886: Performed in Dutch as De Hoed van den Horlogemaker in the Oddfellows Hall, Cape Town, by Aurora II on 19 October, with Het Brandmerk, of De Twee Galeiboeven (no author given)
