Langs die Steiltes ("along the precipices") is an an Afrikaans play by Gerhard J. Beukes. Full title: Langs die steiltes: hoogtepunte uit ons driehonderdjarige volkswording. ("Along the precipices: highlights from our three hundred years of existence".) Written for the Van Riebeeck Festival and published in 1952, it was first performed in 1953 during the first large Day of the Covenant celebrations to be held at the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria. Directed by André Huguenet and Aletta Gericke.

Published in Cape Town by Nasionale Boekhandel in 1952, reprinted 1959.

Beukes was awarded the Hertzog Prize for Drama in 1952 for Langs die steiltes, Salome Dans! and As ons twee eers getroud is!.
