First performed and published in the collection Laat die kerse brand; en ander eenbedrywe ("Let the Candles Burn! and other one-act plays") by J.L. van Schaik, 1945. The collection also included Die Winde van U Toorn, Oktobernag, In my Dae, Die Hand wat hy eenmaal geneem het, and Braaiboud.
Also re-published in a range of play collections, including Kollig by Tafelberg; Vyfling by Nasboek; and in Viertal/Skemer en Masker/Kortgesprek ***.
