La Musica is a play by French novelist, playwright, scriptwriter, essayist, and experimental filmmaker Marguerite Duras (1914-1996) [1].

The original text

Translations and adaptations

A film with the same title was directed by Duras in 1967.

The play was translated into Afrikaans and adapted as a televison script by Stephan Bouwer, published by Human and Rousseau in 1978.

Performance history in South Africa

1968: Presented by the University of Cape Town's University Dramatic Society at the Little Theatre in May, directed by Gay Morris.
