La Fille du Tambour-major (The Drum-Major's Daughter) is an opéra comique in three acts with music by Jacques Offenbach and a French libretto by Alfred Duru and Henri Charles Chivot.

First performed at the Théâtre des Folies-Dramatiques, Paris, on 13 December, 1879.

Performance history in South Africa

1903: Performed on tour in South Africa by the Royal Australian Opera Company under the management of the Wheeler Company from May to October. Among the performers were Dan O'Connor and Gertie Campion. The itinerary included the Good Hope Theatre, Cape Town (in May) and His Majesty's Theatre, Johannesburg (from 11 July to some time in October)
