La Double Inconstance (1732) is a three-act romantic comedy by French playwright Marivaux. It was first performed on 6 April 1723 by the Comédie Italienne. Its title is usually translated into English as The Double Inconstancy.

The two main characters think they are in love but gradually discover their error when true love enters their lives.

An adapted translation by Jocelyn de Bruyn, titled The Double Face of Love was produced by De Bruyn, presented by University Theatre Stellenbosch in the H.B. Thom Theatre in September 1971 starring Johann van Heerden, Sharon Montgomery, Chris van Rensburg, Juanita Swanepoel, Fred Nel, Roberta Durrant and others.
