La Cage aux Folles is a musical with a book by Harvey Fierstein and lyrics and music by Jerry Herman Based on the 1973 French play of the same name by Jean Poiret.

1996-1997: Presented by the Johannesburg Civic Theatre by arrangement with DALRO [Pty] Ltd in 1997, starring Philip Godawa, Drummond Marais, Annabel Linder, James Ngcobo (as Jacob), Catherine Daymond and others. Decor by Anthony Farmer, musical direction by Bryan Schimmel.

Blaise Koch was the understudy for both leads and he went on to play the lead three times.
