Born Lourens Daniel Marthinus Stopforth.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He was the author of a very useful doctoral dissertation entitled Drama in South Africa, 1925-1955 :a critical survey at the Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education. (Unpublished)
Other works included Herman Charles Bosman: An Evaluation (Volume 1 of the Annals of the University College Western Cape, 1964)
