An Opéra Comique with music by Jean-Claude Gillier, libretto by Alain René Lesage and Jacques-Philippe d'Orneval.

Premiére Date: 26 March 1730, in the Théâtre de la Foire Saint-Germain: Paris

Performance history in South Africa

Performed simply as "l'Opéra Comique" by the French Amateur Theatre in Cape Town, as afterpiece to Alexis, ou l'Erreur d'un bon Père (Marsollier and Vivetières) on 28 May 1808.
