L'Homme Gris ("The grey man") is a comedy in three acts by Jean Marie Théodore Baudouin (called d'Aubigny, 1786-1866)[1] and Adolphe Poujol (1811-1898)[2].

The original text

First performed at the Théatre Royal de l’Odéon in Paris on 23 September 1817.

Published by Mad. Ladvocat, Paris, 1817.

Translations and adaptations

Translated into Dutch as De Grijze man, of De Rondborstige ("The grey man, or the frank one (man)") by "P.L." (P. Lemarque). Also written De Gryze man, of De Rondborstige (e.g. in Afrikaans by Bosman, 1928), or referred to simply as De Rondborstige.
