Kwart voor Dagbreek ("A quarter to daybreak"), an Afrikaans play in three acts by Dolf van Niekerk (1929-).

The original text

An experimental work in which the author plays with time and space, it was written in 1960-1, and published by Afrikaanse Pers-Boekhandel, 1963.

There is an interview on his 84th birthday with former actor Danie Kriel in which he claims that he had not only appeared in a play by this name, but that it had been a popular play which he had written ("een van sy eie skryfstukke") and performed in, with Joey de Koker en Wena Naudé ("Akteur kom huis toe", Media 24, 26 Junie 2015 06:03[1]). However, there is no other evidence beyond his recall of this.
