A venue in the Kroonstad Civic Centre Complex, opened in 1976.


The theatre

A modern and all-inclusive complex which consists of a theatre with seating accommodation for 685 people, a banquet hall for up to 500 and an entertainment venue which can harbour 40 congress goers. The closely adjacent municipal offices and public library provide both an auditorium and the Sarel Cilliers Museum, which inherently form part of the Civic Centre.


Performances

The first official performance in the theatre was on June 11 1976, when they played Ou bokke en groen blare ("Old goats and green leaves" by Louis de Villiers).

Later used by the state funded PACOFS for their touring productions.
