There are two South African plays by this name.

Koma, by Matsemela Manaka

The play is described as "a musical play on literacy". Performed in 1988.

Koma, by Sello Maake ka Ncube

A social educational play devised, workshopped and written by Sello Maake ka Ncube (1998).

Performance history in South Africa

Premièred at a one-day seminar organised by the NGO Agisanang Domestic Abuse Prevention and Training (ADAPT) at the Alexandra Clinic in Alexandra township to raise awareness and to combat violence and specifically women abuse in the townships in November 1998. Koma (Sesotho for "Initiation School") was directed by Sello Maake ka Ncube, with Pule Mosenogi, Nhlanhla Mabizela, Mike Sithe and Innocent Toto.

A photograph taken during a production of the play (venue and date unknown) show Thulani Masemola, Louis Hlubi, Dudu Kubheka, Ani Chisane, Eric Gxubane, Thamsanqa Khemese, Saint Kgatle, Mzwandile Khali, Sandile Khemese, Tshite Molete, Lebo Mothabeng, Sandile Hlubi, Rankitseng Ramela, Jabu Dube and Thami Khemese.
