(b. 16/06/1898 - d. **/**/19**). Actress and teacher. As a young woman, Katie Retich Maasdorp won numerous awards at Kunswedstryde (Eisteddfodau) organised by the Oranje-Vrouevereniging (OVV - "Orange Women's Society") in Bloemfontein. She went on to play a significant role as ** in Hendrik Hanekom's Toneelskool ("Theatre School") in Bloemfontein from 19* to 19*. * She married Dr Andries Havenga, a dentist, in Camberwell, London in 1920.
