A star of Broadway, he began his career in 1945 and as a dancer appeared inshows like ''Fiddler on the Roof'', ''Silk Stockings'', ''The Gay Life'' and ''Ben Franklin in Paris''. On National tours, he performed in ''Pajama Game'', ''Fiorella'' and many others, and appeared on television and at the Radio City Music Hall. Choreographed productions of ''Guys & Dolls'', ''Finian's Rainbow'', ''The Music Man'', ''Pajama Game'', ''Archie & Mehitabel'' and the film, ''A Lovely Way to Die''. He won Jerome Robbins’s permission to direct and choreograph ''[[West Side Story]]'' in Argentina and South Africa. He did it for the [[Academy]] at the [[Alexander Theatre]][ in 1970, and it is here he met Carynne Thomas, whom he married. On National tours, he performed in Pajama Game, Fiorella and many others, and appeared on television and at the Radio City Music Hall. Choreographed productions of Guys & Dolls, Finian's Rainbow, The Music Man, Pajama Game, Archie & Mehitabel and the film, A Lovely Way to Die. He won Jerome Robbins’s permission to direct and choreograph West Side Story in Argentina and South Africa. He did it for the Academy at the Alexander Theatre[ in 1970, and it is here he met Carynne Thomas, whom he married. He came to South Africa again in 1984 to choreograph Fiddler on the Roof for Taubie Kushlick. He retired from the stage after his marriage.
