(19*-) Actor. ** He starred in Joe Orton’s Entertaining Mr Sloane together with Anthony James, Christine le Brocq and Danny Keogh under Robert Whitehead’s direction at Upstairs at the Market in October 1986.

Quoted from the programme of The Elephant Man wherein Smith played the role of John Merrick in 1998: 'Kevin Smith has performed in numerous theatre productions including A Winter's Tale and Faust for CAPAB, Bloed in die Strate and Pigs on Passion for the Market Theatre, Johannesburg, Mark Antony in [[Julius Caesar for PACOFS, The Merchant of Venice, Much Ado About Nothing, Hou Den Bek, King Lear and Hamlet for PACT. Kevin has also done extensive film and television work, including starring Egol, Die Meeulanders, The Mantis Project and Jobman, for which he received a Vita nomination for Best Actor, and Reap the Whirlwind. Recently he has performed in the TV series, Onder Draai die Duiwel Rond and did two films for Quentin Tarantino.'
