Biography

She graduated from the University of Pretoria Drama Department and then joined PACOFS and later PACT. Best known for her role as Carina Human in the TV1 television series Ballade vir 'n Enkeling.

Training

Graduated with a degree in Drama from the University of Pretoria.

Career

She was a member of the PACOFS drama company and later of PACT.

As Karin Fourie she appeared in My Seuns (as “Ann”, PACT 1984), Don Dinges met die Groen Broek (PACT (as “Dona Ines” 1984.)

Credited as Karin Retief roles on stage were in productions such as Lunatic and Lover (PACOFS 1982), Ampie, Die Hekse van Salem (PACOFS 1982, Met Permissie Gesê (SUKOVS 1982), Na die Front, Hoer of Heilige (Die Bywoners 1986) and Graswewenaar (PACT 1986).

On television she had roles in Galery, Sagmoedige Neelsie (as “Engela”, SABC television series, 1984) and Ballade vir 'n Enkeling.

In 2007, after a break of about ten years from acting, she appeared on 7de Laan in a minor role.
