Karen Jeynes (19**-). Writer, sketcher, lecturer.

Biography

Training

Career

Predominantly a playwright, but sometimes she writes for websites, magazines, radio, television, film, novels, or newspapers. She lectures in Digital Culture; and teaches scriptwriting at SA Writers College. Recently she was made Resident Dramaturg for Boschwhacked Productions.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Her plays includes Everybody Else (is fucking perfect), The Happy Factory, I'll Have What She’s Having, sky too big, Getting There, Don't Mention Sex (2006), as well as several short plays, including Laying Blame,

Upcoming new plays include “Vaslav”, “Ellipses” and “Eggshells”. I’m also working on an adaptation of Jane Austen’s “Persuasion” as part of her MA.
