GARDNER, Karel [sic]. (19**-) English actress. Visited South Africa in 1963 to perform in Taubie Kushlick’s original production of Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Controversy over the blasphemous language saw an early close for the production. (Tucker, 1997) (SH)
