The Kamer de Eendracht ("room of unity") was a Cape Town based arts association.
Also referred to simply as De Eendracht.

History
The association was formed as a dissident group of members who broke away from the well-known rederijkerskamer Aurora II in 1887, when internal strife arose in the association. De Eendracht served as a transitional amateur theatre organization in Cape Town, performing many of the standard works of its parent association under the motto "Door Oefening wordt de kunst verkregen" ("art is attained through practice"). It existed till 1883.
The leading figure was P. Faddegon, supported by J. Combrink, with other members including G. Wanneburg, Mr Van de Cappelle, J. Hemmes, Mr Veldhuisen, Mr Siebolds, Miss Van Spoor, Anna Valois and Miss Beersma.
They would initially perform all their plays in the Athenaeum Hall, but in August of 1877 moved to the Oddfellows Hall, Cape Town, where they remained till the end of 1882. All performances in their final year were done in the Volunteer Drill Hall, Cape Town.
The new company's first production took place on 4 April 1876 in the Athenaeum Hall, Cape Town, performing Eleonore van Rosalba, of De Puinhopen van Paluzzi (Pujos and Dabaytua) and De Twee Vrijers, of Liefde en List (Anon.).
