The Kamer de Eendracht ("room of unity") was a Cape Town based arts association.

Also referred to simply as De Eendracht.

History

The association was formed as a dissident group of members who broke away from the well-known rederijkerskamer Aurora II in 1887, when internal strife arose in the association. De Eendracht served as a transitional amateur theatre organization in Cape Town, performing many of the standard works of its parent association under the motto "Door Oefening wordt de kunst verkregen" ("art is attained through practice").
