Published as Jumbo-Jum! by William V. Spencer, 128 Washington St., Boston, in 1856 ("With Original Casts, Costumes, and the Whole of the Stage Business, Correctly Marked and Arranged, by Mr. J.B. Wright, Assistant Manager of the Boston Theatre") and again in Darkey & Comic Drama Volume 18, Issue 144 of Spencer's Boston theatre, 1857.

Published once again, now as Jumbo Jum, by Walter H. Baker & Co., Boston, in Baker's Edition of Plays, 1889

Performance history in South Africa

1866: Performed by the Le Roy-Duret Company in the Theatre Royal, Cape Town, in March, with Le Roy "in his favourite part of 'Jumbo' ". According to Bosman (1980: p.209), the play was not well received by critics.
