Written while a student, and published in 1796.


Translations and adaptations

Translated by an anonymous translator into Dutch as Julius van Sassen.

Performance history in South Africa

1829: First performed in Dutch translation in Cape Town by Tot Nut en Vermaakon 22 August 1829, along with De Sint Nicolaas Avond, of Het Bezoek door den Schoorsteen (Kup).
