(b.04/08/1954 - d.29/04/2011). Actor. Won the Three Leaf Award for best student in 1976. performed in The Indian Wants the Bronx (at the Market Theatre in 1980 as Joey), Christian (for Brickhill/Burke in 1980), Don Juan (at the Market Theatre in 1980), Oh, What a Lovely War (with PACT in 1980), Faces in the Wall (at the Market Theatre), Spider’s Web (for Pieter Toerien), Tom Foolery (for Pieter Toerien) (SACD 1980/81) (SACD 1981/82)

(19*-) Actor and TV personailty. Born in Johannesburg. Studied Drama (BA and the Performer's Diploma) at the University of Cape Town, graduating in 1976.

While a student, he appeared in Offending the Audience (Handke) directed by Robert Mohr, with a cast that also included Paul Baskind, Lesley Nott, Diane Cox, Paul Herzberg, Angelique Rockas, Judith Krummeck and Marcel van Heerden.

Quoted from the programme notes of Tom Foolery in 1981: 'Television experience includes the children's series Just Imagine and Video 2 for which he was presenter for 6 months. Fully bilingual, Jonathan is a well-known voice on radio, and has recently broken into voice-overs and spots. He has just been seen in Oh, What a Lovely War for PACT and Spider's Web also for Pieter Toerien, and is playing Eric Ridder in Edgar Bold's Westgate for television.'

He passed away due to the complications of heart surgery on 29 April 2011.
