His plays include Windmills of the Mind, for which he received the Amstel Playwright of the Year Award in 1978, sharing with Time and the Wood by James Ambrose Brown. This play, with Kerry Jordan, Michael McCabe, John Hussey and Bobby Heaney was directed by François Swart for PACT in 1979. CAPAB mounted their own production of the play simultaneously, opening 18 June 1979 at the Nico Malan Theatre Centre.

He also wrote What's in a Name, a comedy in two acts. (Playscript held by NELM: [Collection: ARTSCAPE]: 2013. 65. 81).

He is married to actress Pauline Bailey.
