Joan Kemp-Welch (1906-1999) [1]. British actress and director.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She directed the Toerien-Firth Company productions of The Kingfisher and of Terence Rattigan’s Cause Célèbre starring Mary Millar and William Lucas in 1978. It ran at the André Huguenet Theatre for nine months.

She directed the Toerien-Firth Company production of Royce Ryton’s The Unvarnished Truth starring Anthony Fridjhon, Michael Richard, Nicholas Ellenbogen and Lynne White at the Intimate Theatre in 1979.
