(19*-) Actress, dancer, choreographer, company director.

Jennie Reznek (Director and Trustee) (BA Perf. Dip in Speech and Drama, UCT; Ecole Jaques Lecoq, Paris; ,UCT) is A graduate of University of Cape Town Drama school ((BA Perf. Dip in Speech and Drama, MA) and two years at the Ecole Jaques Lecoq, Paris(1984 -1986).


She is a founding, with her husband Mark Fleishman, of the Magnet Theatre Company in 1987 and is responsible for most of the creative and teaching programs of the company. besides performing in Magnet shows, she also acts as movement director and choreographer for the work.

On occasion she has lectured in movement at University of Cape Town.

Other performance work has included performing as an aerialist and clown in the circus and as a puppeteer with the Handspring Puppet Company.


As actress Reznek worked at The Space in the 1970s, acting in Candaules Commissioner and Dolls (directed by Richard Grant and Michael O’Brien), **.

Choreographed movement and played "Puck" in Esther van Ryswyk and Fred Abrahamse's groundbreaking A Midsummer Night's Dream (1988)


Over the years she has written and performed a number of one-woman shows, including: Cheap Flights (1987), The Show's Not Over 'Til the Fat Lady Sings (1991-3), I Turned Away And She Was Gone (2014)
