Jean Marie is a Dutch dramatic sketch ("dramatische schets") in one act by someone listed as "Theurieb".

Nothing is known of the Dutch version, except that a performance of a dramatic sketch by this name (no author mentioned), performed with "Genraalsvrouwtje" (probably Het Generaalsvrouwtje by Henri t'Sas), is recorded by the Rederijkerskamer 'Nut en Genoegen' te Holwierde on 14 January, 1921.


Performance history in South Africa

1908: Performed in Dutch as Jean Marie by Onze Taal in the Empress Theatre, Pretoria, on 18 June (the author's name wrongly given as "Theurieb" by Bosman, 1980:485). Also performed were De Boezemvriend(Praga) and Voor het Diner (Simons-Mees).
