Janot, ou Les Battus Paient l'Amende is a one act "comédie proverb" by Dorvigny (Louis-François Archambault)[1].

First performed at the Théâtre des Variétés Amusantes, Paris , June 1779.

It featured Mr Delémery as main performer, and was announced under the sub-title Les Battus Paient l'Amende and as a "comedie parade".
