Born in Hampshire, England. She came to South Africa when her parents emigrated.

She has a BA in Dramatic Art from the University of the Witwatersrand.
Career
Her first professional role was as Kate Moodie in the SATV series 1922.

Her first stage role was as Patricia in Extremities. She played Lucia Amory in Black Coffee in 1984-5.
