Career

He worked in repertory in England until he settled in South Africa in 1970. He was contracted to NAPAC until 1980. He visited the UK on several occasions, acting for, among others, the Birmingham and Cheltenham repertory companies and at the Edinburgh Festival.

Performed in Antony and Cleopatra (NAPAC 1987), Mother Courage (CAPAB 1973), Seder, Twelfth Night, Under Milk Wood, Murder at the Vicarage, The Boys Next Door, The Devil's Disciple (NAPAC, 1970)

Macbeth (with PACT in 1980), A Midsummer Night's Dream (with NAPAC in 1980), The School for Scandal (with PACT in 1980), Send for Dolly (with A. T. Productions in 1980), Othello]] (Maynardville 1981/82), The Tempest (with CAPAB for the Maynardville 1982/83 season) and in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (with Brickhill-Burke), Uncle Vanya, Bedroom Farce.

He starred in Pieter Toerien and Shirley Firth’s last joint production namely the Baxter Theatre production of Robert Kirby’s It's a Boy! together with Bo Petersen and Dale Cutts with direction by Keith Grenville at the Intimate Theatre in 1982.

Nominated for the Dalro Awards(TV??) Best Supporting Actor in 1980.
