J. Logan
Corporal J. Logan was a non-commissioned officer in the North Lincolnshire Regiment of Foot when the Regiment was sent to the Eastern Frontier of the Cape Colony (now the Eastern Province, South Africa) between 1860 and 1862 during the Frontier War. The regiment was based in Grahamstown and Keiskama Hoek. (Modern spelling: Keiskammahoek.)
Contribution to SA Theatre
Corporal J. Logan acted in two productions during his stay in the Eastern Frontier, both with The Sergeants.
He played two female roles.
May 27, 1861: Acted in the Sergeant’s Dramatic Club two-act drama production of Talfourd’s of Macbeth Travestie. (Witch).
