He resided at Kerkstraat (Church Street) no 7, Cape Town, and was the organiser of productions for [[Door Yver Bloeit De Kunst]] in 1833, and for [[Vlyt en Kunst]] in 1834, working with [[C.E. Boniface]] who had taken over the artistic leadership of the company.
