(17**-18**) Amateur actor, dancer and manager. Born in the Cape, he was a staunch member of Tot Nut en Vermaak. In 1823 he acted as Toneelmeester (ie. director) on behalf of J.G. Tredoux, the leader and usual director for the company. He and Tredoux possibly appeared as dancers for Honi Soit qui Mal y Pense in De Burger Edelman (28th May 1825), under the name J. de Villiers
