It's My Weekend, Too is a one-act play by Sheila Roberts (1937-2009).

The original text

A play about the underprivileged, it was the joint winner (along with Wilma Stockenström’s Die Laaste Middagmaal) of a one-act play competition organised for The Space (Cape Town) by the Foundation for Art and Theatre in 1973.

Performed at The Space in 1975 as a double-bill with Die Laaste Middagmaal.

Scene 1 of the play was published in Contemporary South African Plays (ed Ernest Perreira) under the title Weekend in 1977.

Performance history in South Africa

1975: First staged as part of a double-bill in the Outer Space (Cape Town) in 1975, directed by Charlotte du Toit with Paul Herzberg, Blaise Koch, Lynne Maree, Jan Olivier and Trix Pienaar. The stage managers were Bill Anderson and Fatima Dike.
