The World Première of the stage version of the play was presented by CAPAB Drama and Volute Productions at the Nico Theatre from 9 November to 1 December 1990, directed by Keith Grenville starring Helen Bourne (Eleanor Lambert), Ralph Lawson (Robert Sutherland), Blaise Koch (Simon Sherwood), Diane Wilson (Dora Bates), Mark Graham (Ian Craig). Lighting designer Malcolm Hurrell, designer Peter Cazalet. Stage manager Merle Pretorius.
