Ike Brookes (18**-19**) Impresario. Known as Lt. Ike Brookes.

He was a member of the UDF Entertainment Unit (??*) and responsible for the mounting of the Liberty Cavalcade in 1944, utilizing a large variety company drawn from the ranks of the South African Native Military Corps. Based on this opportunity to work with African entertainers, he went on to produce the popular variety show Zonk in 1946 which toured the country with great success and gave many performers their first opportunity in and taste for commercial theatre.***
